Sometimes You Need Guts To See Us
We understand that eating is a very personal thing. And that disclosing the what, when how much and why you eat certain foods is not an easy thing to admit to, or talk about, for many people. You do need to be brave to open up that can of worms and even have the courage and determination to find the right person to meet your needs if don't feel comfortable with who you are working with.
Please remember that we are here to help you, not judge you. We understand healthy eating is not easy: with everything that life throws at us, all the nutrition misinformation out there and needing to prioritise other self care activities.
We are here as much or as little as you need but keep in mind that keeping your eating habits in check with a 6-12 monthly review (just like the dentist) can be the most powerful and rewarding investment you could make for your health and lifestyle long term.
Please let us know how seeing a Dietitian has changed your life via our Bright Bods group and inspire more people to take control of their health and life!

Recipe of the Month
Mediterranean Quinoa Salad
Serves 4
Ingredients
- 1 cup quinoa
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cucumber, diced
- 1/2 red onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup Kalamata olives, pitted and sliced
- 1/4 cup feta cheese, crumbled
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 400g can chickpeas
- 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Start by cooking the quinoa. Rinse the quinoa thoroughly under cold water. In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of quinoa and 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the quinoa is cooked and the water is absorbed. Fluff the quinoa with a fork and let it cool.
- In a large salad bowl, combine the cooled quinoa, halved cherry tomatoes, diced cucumber, finely chopped red onion, sliced Kalamata olives, crumbled feta cheese, chickpeas and chopped fresh parsley.
- Drizzle the dressing over the salad and gently toss everything together until well combined.
- Taste the salad and adjust the seasoning, adding more salt, pepper, or lemon juice as needed.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate for a few hours to let the flavours meld. This salad is great as a side dish or as a standalone meal.
