Cooking and eating together with family and friends, organising movement get togethers, like going for a walk or doing a class together makes looking after yourself a lot easier.

Zumba Update
We are excited to be commencing a new Zumba Class at Conveniently Active at Erina at 10.45am Tuesdays starting from 10th September. Contact Conveniently Active to book in and arrange exercise screening prior to attending.
Friday classes are at 11am at Narara Eco-Village.
We also do Zumba Gold gift vouchers for Fridays class. Zumba Gold 10 Class Pass Vouchers $150 including a complimentary class for you or the recipient.

Recipe of the Month
Build your own Tacos
A great family friendly, build your own meal everyone can enjoy. Dial up or down the spices as per your family's desire.
Serves 6-8
- 18 taco shells
- 1Tb Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 500g minced kangaroo or beef meat
- 1 can black beans or kidney beans
- 1 clove of garlic, minced/finely diced
- 2 large tomatoes, finely diced
- 1 medium onion, finely diced
- 1 cup mushrom, diced
- Salsa sauce
Spice mix:
-
1/2 tsp chilli powder
-
2 tsp sweet paprika
-
1 tsp cumin
-
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
-
1/2 tsp corriander powder
Salads of choice:
- lettuce, rocket or baby spinach
- 1 cucumber, finely diced
- 1 tomato, finely diced
- 1 avocado- sliced or guacamole
- 1/2 raw beetroot, grated
- 1/2 carrot, grated
- 1/2 cup corn
- 1/2 capsicum, diced
- 1.5 cups cheese, grated
- fresh corriander for garnish
Instructions:
- Cut up the onion, mushroom, tomato and garlic.
- In a pan on medium heat, add the olive oil. When hot, saute the onion and garlic until aromatic.
- Add the mince meat and stir until browned.
- Add the mushrooms, beans, 2 diced tomatoes and the spices and allow to simmer, stirring occasionally until the liquid has reduced.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C. When hot enough, place the tacos in the oven for 5 minutes to crispen up.
- Chop up or grate the salad ingredients.
- Serve all parts of the dish seperately on the table to allow everyone to build their own unique meal.
